Making some Ukrainian friends

It's been a busy and productive day. Because everyone did such a brilliant job of donating so many items, we had more than enough for the schools in Sanok. So we were able to supply the nearby town of Lesko too, and Tim and I took things over to them this morning. We also had items for Fredropol, which Ed and Pete took over, and were treated to homemade borscht and potato dumplings for lunch.

In the afternoon we went to a food wholesaler to buy lots of food. The main humanitarian centre in Przemyśl wants full pallets of tinned food which doesn't require heating to take into Ukraine. We've also bought some toys for the young children staying in he same hostel as us as they haven't got much to play with.

Coincidence of the day: the man in the hoover shop (one of the refugee centres needed one) used to work at Careys Manor in Brockenhurst.
